Releasing a loco address from a throttle

Whey you are finished running a loco, good practice dictates that you RELEASE it from the throttle that has control of it. This allows other throttles to acquire that loco.

 

To do this operation your throttle MUST be plugged into the layout.

 

To release an address using the DT-300 or DT-400 throttle:

 

• Use the throttle to make the loco’s speed ‘0’

 

• With the loco address displayed and speed ‘0’ press the SEL or LOCO key to go into select mode. This will release the loco from your throttle immediately.

 

• The address will begin to flash on the throttle display  - at this point press the MODE key or DISP key (depending on your throttle.)  At this point the loco address will become dispatched as free to the system.  At this point the throttle display should display SEL where the loco address was flashing.

 

• If you do not press any key the throttle will time out and display SEL.

 

• If you press the SEL or LOCO key at this point the loco address will begin flashing again, you can select it by pressing the SEL or LOCO key at this time.

 

 

Releasing an address using a UT-1 or UT-2 Throttle:

 

·       Zero the loco speed

 

·       Press the ACQ button.
