Photography from the Ozarks

______________

Having grown up in the Ozarks, Jim Quarles has taken photos of scenes in the area since he was he was ‘exposed’ to the mysteries of photography by his junior high school science instructor, Herb Condray, at Jarrett Junior High School in Springfield, MO in the 1950’s.

Jim has collected images for more than 50 years. Part of this time as a farmer in the Southwestern Missouri Ozarks, he specialized in Farm scenes, the Prairies of Southwest Missouri, and Southeast Kansas.  He also has done work in the mountains and deserts in the Southwestern United States.

Over the years Jim's images have been published in newspapers, books, catalogs, and brochures.
